Mini-FCL: Design Process with Work It Out Wombats! (English)

The Design Process with Work It Out Wombats! mini-FCL workshops are two sessions that engage families in active, hands-on learning experiences for families with kids ages 3-5 (and younger/older siblings). The workshops use creative play and exploration to introduce kids and grown-ups to digital and tangible tools that can be used to develop knowledge, practices and perspectives. The workshops foster these learning goals through:

• Active video viewing and discussions
• Collaborative, hands-on activities
• Digital game play
• Introducing complex topics for young children in computational thinking, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, particularly the design process
• Practicing executive function skills such as developing creative and flexible thinking

The 10-Kit contains FCL components for 10 families and a facilitator for a series of two workshop sessions, including a facilitator guide.
